Post 14: Abandoned

I have a coworker who has a cabin up in the wood. He says there are a lot of wild dogs in the area. People will drive up, abandon the animals then drive off. A dog left to fend for himself will go anywhere and do anything for food.
In the same way,

just as the traveler in the story of the good Samaritan, Luke 10:30, was left for dead, what would have happened if no one had come along to help? I look at my past. Abandoned by the ones I trusted to help when I was injured. The vultures were my only friends. The confusion so great, I could not tell up from down. Then there was the severe loneliness.
The combination of all this, the pain, lead me to behave in ways I cannot believe. Is it wrong for a hungry man to steal food? Certainly it is better for that man to beg. What happens when the soup kitchen turns him down?
