Forensic Evidence

Today, I had the opportunity to sit in while a friend of mine gave his account to the police. He had told me his story some time ago, but yesterday, he picked up “The Blue Dress” in the form of a rag, then went to the hospital to gather the forensic evidence. While they were gathering the team together, he called me.
Listening to him tell his story of being drugged and violated was difficult. He was in trauma. As I mentioned in these writings, a person experiencing trauma does to remember things in chronological order. He jumped from event to event. Because I already knew the story I could follow him. It was like watching him build here, then go over there and build then to another place.
It was hard because I could see the effect the trauma had on him. I could see the depth of the damage.
It is always harder for me to see other people going through tough times than it is for me to go through them myself.
Today, the police have the information, the evidence and the name. Now we wait.
