Most people think that the Antichrist is a single individual who will come at the end times to deceive people. However, John talked about the antichrist as a plural set of people living in his day:
18 Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen; from this we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us. 20 But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge. (1Jo 2:18-20)
21 I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also. (1Jo 2:21-23 NAS)
The antichrists are the people who deny the fullness of who Jesus is: He is God, the creator of the universe, of you and of me. He is a man, born of a woman, He lived among us and died for us. He rose from the grave to empower us with the Spirit of God.
The antichrists are the people who forbid the teachings of our founding fathers and their God in our schools. By denying children the knowledge of the truth, they subject our children to the whims, temptations, and vulnerabilities of their advances. These are the ones telling our little children they should be sexually active and it is okay to have sex with others their age. These are the ones who would teach our children to perform the sins of Balaam and of Sodom and Gomorrah. Then they accuse those of us who try to protect our children by teaching them the truth of who God is, of harming the children. These antichrists are the wolves we were warned about. Unfortunately, these are the ones who have infiltrated our school systems, government and entertainment industry.
Remember when I discussed the mental aspect of an individueal, I mentioned being smart and able to absorb information does not make a person wise. If we are taught error. We are no better off than a fool.
