Pandemic

I am too young to remember any epidemics or pandemics that once spread across America and the world although I know people who limp because of polio, or have a bad hear because of scarlet feavor.  I still bar the scar of the small pox vazination and I remember standing in lin to receive a sugar cube.

That was in the early sixties before Camelot was destroyed.  (a reference to the Kennedy assignation)

Small pox, Diphtheria, Spanish flu, Cholera, even the Bubonic plague and typhoid feavor have have a reent history amoung us.

But we are spoiled.  We do not remember such a time when cities were wiped out by disease.  We do not remember being afraid to leave our house an sake hands with people.  Gathering together for an event is taken for granted. the worse that could happen is someone starts shooting at us.
